Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’: Enterprise Architecture Tools

Once again, ValueBlue and our BlueDolphin software has been recognized in Gartner’s iconic Voice of the Customer Report for Enterprise Architecture Tools, based on real customer reviews from vendors within the EA Space.

With an extremely strong User Interest & Adoption score, we narrowly missed out on Gartner’s “Customers’ Choice” distinction by a mere 0.1 review points.

What is the Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’ Report for Enterprise Architecture tools?

Gartner Peer Insights is a peer review and ratings platform for enterprise software decision makers. Based on customer reviews (that are strictly validated, moderated and always 100% authentic), Gartner publishes their Voice of the Customer report to help IT decision makers select the most appropriate Enterprise Architecture tooling.

“This aggregated peer perspective, along with the individual detailed reviews, is complementary to Gartner expert research and can play a key role in your buying process, as it focuses on direct peer experiences of implementing and operating a solution.” (Gartner, 2021).

Along with the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture tools (yep, you can find us there too!), the Voice of the Customer Report is one of the most trusted publications for architects and digital leaders looking at potential Enterprise Architecture tools for their organizations.

Only vendors that have received 20+ eligible customer reviews during the submission period are considered, so you can be sure you’re reviewing the key players in the market.

How does Gartner put together the report?

Gartner categorizes eligible vendors into four quadrants based on User Interest and Adoption (X-axis) and Overall Rating (Y-axis). Vendors placed in the upper-right quadrant receive the Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice distinction. They must meet a minimum Overall Rating score of 4.5/5.

From 12 to 73 reviews – here we grow!

Over the past year we’ve been busy working to expand the reach of our tool, BlueDolphin, across markets including North America, EMEA, and APAC. We are delighted to have brought a number of new customers on board from all over the world. As a result, the number of customer reviews submitted on Gartner Peer Insights has increased since the last report, moving us firmly into the top tier of User Interest and Adoption in the Voice of the Customer quadrant.

”We’re thrilled to see such an increase in the number of reviews from our customers on Gartner Peer Insights, and extremely proud that 93% of them are willing to recommend us — the third highest score in the quadrant. This is surely a testament to our commitment to ensuring our customers’ success with the platform whilst we continue to expand globally.”

93% of our customers are willing to recommend us

What’s even more pleasing for us is the fact that our exciting international growth has not resulted in difficulty maintaining our high levels of customer satisfaction, though. 93% of our customers are willing to recommend ValueBlue and our BlueDolphin software – the 3rd highest ‘willingness to recommend’ score on the quadrant for 2021. It’s also interesting to note that while vendor EAS has a willingness to recommend score of 100%, this is coming from a significantly smaller number of customer reviews (21).

An impressive overall rating

Unlike the the Voice of Customer quadrant’s X-axis, ‘User Interest and Adoption’, which takes into consideration three factors – number of reviews, user willingness to recommend, and market coverage across industry, company size and region – the quadrant’s Y-axis, ‘Overall Rating’, takes only one factor into account – the mean number of stars given by the customer reviews, using Gartner’s 1 – 5 star system.

total-reviewsGartner uses a simple star system to calculate vendors’ Overall Ratings in the Voice of the Customer quadrant

This of course means that any deviations have a larger impact on a vendor’s overall score, and alas, a couple of (very positive!) reviews with a slightly lower star rating have resulted in us just missing the threshold to be named Customers’ Choice by a mere 0.1 points.

Never fear, the team shook it off and we are still extremely pleased to have maintained such a strong Overall Rating while increasing the number of reviews by over 500% 😀
