February 2026 BlueDolphin Updates: More Visibility, Better Governance, Smarter Insights
This month’s BlueDolphin updates focus on helping you understand your data better, have stronger control over governance, and clearer insight into platform usage. By reducing blind spots and manual effort, these improvements help teams work with more confidence and less friction.
Update lifecycle states directly from the Repository
Lifecycle states can now be viewed and changed directly from the Repository. This brings lifecycle management in line with other parts of BlueDolphin and removes unnecessary steps.
This makes lifecycle governance simpler and more intuitive. You can keep object status up to date where you already work, reducing errors, and improving alignment across the platform.
Filter repository content using object metadata
Later this month, the Repository will allow you to view and filter objects based on metadata, helping you quickly focus on the information that matters most to you. You’ll be able to filter based on recent changes, your own creations, and updates made by others, giving clear insight into who changed what and when. In addition, workspace and lifecycle information will be included as filterable metadata, making it easier to narrow down content across different contexts and maturity levels.
Stronger visibility and control over access and usage
Improved OData access to users, roles, and permissions
We’ve improved how user information, roles, and permissions can be accessed through OData. This makes it easier to see who has access to what, and to use this information in reports or integrations with other systems.
This update supports administrators and integration teams who rely on OData to connect BlueDolphin with other systems or create governance reports. It enables cleaner automation and more reliable access governance.
New Usage Insights reports for guest users and views
Usage Insights now includes new reports showing:
- Which guest users have access to BlueDolphin.
- Which views are being used across the platform.
By making guest access and view usage transparent, information owners and administrators can better manage access, identify unused or overexposed content, and make data-driven decisions around governance and adoption.
Assign an owner to deliverables in Projects
You can now assign an owner to deliverables in Projects. Based on your feedback, deliverable ownership can now be assigned by Project Owners and Contributors, while Viewers can see the assigned owner without editing it. This update completes our recent deliverable enhancements, covering layout, status, deadlines, and now ownership.
